About the project:

 

My Voice, My Story is a special project dedicated to artists who wish to share personal experiences connected to violence, systemic harm, trauma, resilience, and transformation.

This project emerges within a broader political and societal context. Recent global discussions, including the Epstein files and cases such as Gisèle Pelicot, have once again exposed the extent to which abuse of power, sexual violence, and structural injustice persist across systems. These are not isolated incidents, but symptoms of deeply rooted structures.

My Voice, My Story creates space for artists to respond. It acknowledges that many creatives carry lived experiences shaped by patriarchal and oppressive systems — and that art can become a powerful act of transformation, resistance, and healing.

This project is open to all artists. Every voice matters. Every story carries weight.

The aim is not sensationalism, but awareness. By connecting artwork with personal narrative, this project seeks to foster empathy, strength, and the important reminder that no one is alone.

Selected contributions will be featured as a Special Project in the upcoming magazine issue.

Everyone is welcome to apply, regardless of your background, stage of career or gender.

Submission is always free, and only after we send you a confirmation, you will be asked to pay a participation fee.

How to apply:

​

• You can submit up to 4 artworks. 

• resolution and size must be between 72dpi and 300dpi and 3- 4 mb in jpeg. format (no larger than 5 mb please!)

• name your files: firstname_lastname_titleartwork

• Optionally, you can include one portrait or working image of yourself (for example, a photo of you in your studio). This is not mandatory but encouraged, as visibility and personal presence are part of the project’s intention.

• Include a short written statement (max. 500 characters) describing the connection between your submitted work and your story.

• Please only share what you feel comfortable making public.

• DON'T send us your pictures via e-mail attachment!

Publication:

• Selected works and stories will be featured in the upcoming magazine issue as part of this Special Project. 

• Your feature will also be promoted on social media.

• Some selected contributions will additionally be shared in the newsletter (approx. 4000 subscribers).

Also note: If you like to have a more extensive feature of 4 pages or 6 pages with more of your artworks and more room for your story, or if your would like to have and interview/article published permanently on our website additionally to your feature, please find the submission guidelines in our section for magazine open calls. ​​​
